- Preparing and delivering lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars.
- Developing curricula and course material that can be used across a number of platforms.
- Collaborating with other academics and lecturers to improve teaching methods and expand knowledge base.
- Providing support to students and other colleagues.
- Attending and participating in meetings, conferences, and other events in and outside of the institution.
- Develop several engaging courses within your field of study, including choosing the reading material, creating assignments and arranging a syllabus.
- Develop strong relationships with colleagues within the department and throughout the institution for an enhanced learning environment that values interdisciplinary study.
- Supervise the work of students, provide advice on study skills and help them with learning problems.
- Set and mark assignments and set examination questions as well as assessing the work and progress of students by reference to defined criteria and provide constructive feedback to students.
- Develop and grade examinations, assignments, and papers while maintaining student confidentiality
- Advise and mentor students throughout the duration of their studies, providing support and guidance as needed
- Attend departmental meetings and participate in committees related to curriculum development and assessment, as well as other academic initiatives
- Perform administrative tasks related to your position, such as maintaining office hours, submitting course materials, and entering student grades into the Institution system.
- Delivering lectures on time and as per syllabus
- Conducting online classes and tutorials when required
- Participating and speaking at workshops and seminars
- Collaborating with other lecturers and staff members to develop and improve teaching methods
- Providing educational and moral support to students
- Ensuring a positive learning environment in the classroom
- Any other duties as assigned from time to time
